Located adjacent to one of Europe’s most beautiful squares, the Grand Place, and within easy walking distance of the antiques district of Le Sablon and Brussels landmark Manneken Pis, the Hotel Amigo will host the main conference and all side events.About the Hotel Amigo Hotel Amigo, built on the remains of a jail existing at the site in former times, has existed for fifty years. The 5-star house has been totally refurbished to offer an elegant, cosy and contemporary design blended with Flemish touches. Bocconi, Hotel Amigo's in-house Italian restaurant, serves creative Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. The place has been nominated the Best Italian Restaurant in Brussels. Here, the breakfast for participants deciding to book hotel rooms at the Amigo will be served. We have carefully chosen the Hotel Amigo as a facility known to reduce environmental impacts from its operation. In March 2009, it was awarded the environmental label “Entreprise écodynamique” from the city of Brussels for its efforts regarding sustainable use of resources, waste reduction, and energy efficiency. The Meeting Rooms The Monday morning welcome session, the CO2 workshop, and the Tuesday concluding sessions will be held in the “Ambassador” room. The elegant room’s windows face Brussels town hall. The Ambassador will also host the 3-course networking dinner on Monday evening. The workshop sessions for Hydrocarbons and Ammonia will take place in the meeting rooms “Hergé” and “Horta”, providing space for up to 50 persons each. The Sunday event "Recommendations for Copenhagen" will be held in the Horta meeting room. The informal networking Sunday reception with the jazz band will be located in the "Amigo Bar" adjacent to the town hall and the Grand Place. |
