How to get there

The conference and all side events will be held at:

Only a short drive from the Central train station, 20 minutes by car from the airport and only two hours from London by Eurostar, the hotel is easily accessible. The city is well served with frequent flights from all over Europe.

By Plane

Taxi: A 20 minutes’ taxis drive will bring you from the Brussels International Airport to the Hotel Amigo close to the Grand Place. Taxi stands are located in front of the arrivals halls. The fare from the airport to the city centre of Brussels is normally around € 35.

Bus/metro: Take bus number 12 (“Airport Express”) during the week and number 21 (“Hertog/Ducale”) during the weekends. Bus stops are located on Level 0, one floor down from the arrival halls. Get off the bus at the stop “Schuman” and take the metro line 1 (“Weststation / Gare de l’Ouest”) or 5 (“Erasmus / Erasme”). Get off at the stop “Bourse / Beurs”. The Hotel Amigo is a 5 minute walk from there.

By Train

Taxi: A 10 minutes’ drive will bring you from Brussels international train station Midi to the Hotel Amigo.

Tram: Arriving at Brussels international train station Midi, you take tram number 3 (“Gare du Nord / Noordstation”) and get off at the stop “Bourse / Beurs”. The Hotel Amigo is a 5 minute walk from there. Alternatively, you can take another train from Midi to the Brussels Central Station. From there, it is a 5 minute walk to the hotel.

By Car

From Amsterdam:
  • Take the highway in the direction of Breda, following the E19 / A1 that also directs you towards Antwerpen-Brussels.
  • Take the '0' ring road in the direction of Liège (exit Liège, Leuven, Bruxelles). Continue in the direction of Bruxelles Center, through the tunnel until you arrive at Avenue Cortenberg. Follow the road until you reach the Place Schumann roundabout.
  • Take Rue de la Loi (second street on the right at the Place Schumann roundabout) and continue past Brussels Park on your left. After Rue de la Loi, follow Rue des Colonies. Gare Centrale (Central Station) is on your left.
  • Take the arcade in front of you, with the Méridien hotel on your right. You will now arrive at Rue Duquesnoy, with the Royal Windsor hotel on your right. When you arrive at Place Saint-Jean, take Rue du Lombard to the first set of traffic lights, then turn right. Hotel Amigo is on the first corner.
From Germany:
  • Take the motorway direction Aachen.
  • Take the E40, direction Lüttich (Liège-Luik) and Brussels.
  • At the end of the E40, follow direction Brussels Centrum (tunnel).
  • When you come out of the tunnel, take Avenue de Cortenberg until you reach Place Schumann.
  • Take Rue de la Loi straight on, crossing Arts-Loi. Also cross Rue Royale and you will then be in Rue des Colonies, followed by Rue des Putteries, with the Gare Centrale (Central Station) on your left.
  • Under the arcade of the Méridian hotel, go straight on (there is a church on your right) until Rue Duquesnoy. You have the Royal Windsor hotel on your right in this street, and at the end you are on Place Saint-Jean, with a statue in the middle.
  • Take the third street on the right (Rue du Lombard) and at the traffic lights, turn right into Rue de l'Etuve.
  • The Hotel Amigo is on the left side at the end of the street.

From Paris (via Mons / Bergen):
  • Take the E19 / A1 motorway direction Brussels. On the '0' ring road, take exit 13.
  • You then arrive at Chaussée de Ninove. Follow the centre panel and go straight on until the end.
  • Turn right into Boulevard Poincaré. At the second main crossroads, turn left. You have a square with a statue on the right. You are on Boulevard Lemonnier. Pass two squares, Place Anneessens with a statue on the left and Place Fontainas.
  • Turn right into Rue des Teinturiers, following the panel Grand Place. After the traffic lights, turn left into Rue de l'Etuve.
  • The Hotel Amigo is on the left side at the end of the street.

From the UK / Calais Shuttle Terminal:
  • Take the E42 motorway, direction Lille, then the E17, direction Courtrai (Kortrijk), until Ghent.
  • Take the E40, direction Brussels.
  • Arriving in Brussels, follow direction Koekelberg.
  • Enter Brussels on Avenue Charles Quint (the Basilix shopping centre is on your left)
  • Carry straight on this long avenue until the Koekelberg Basilica.
  • Take the Léopold II tunnel in front of the basilica - second exit (end of the tunnel) on the right is Porte d'Antwerp (Anvers), you're then on Boulevard Antwerp.
  • Take second on the right (hemicycle on your left) Boulevard Emile Jaquemain to Place de Brouckère, then go straight on (between the two towers) Avenue Anspach to the stock exchange.
  • At the traffic lights just after the Bourse, make a left turn into the street behind the stock exchange, Rue Henri Maus, then turn right into Rue du Midi.
  • At the traffic lights, turn left into Rue du Lombard then turn left into Rue de l'Etuve
  • The Amigo is on the left at the end of the street.
